1. Introduction
Welcome to Workora Africa (“Workora”, “we”, “our”, or “us”).
These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of www.workora.africa, our mobile applications, and all other related services (collectively referred to as the “Platform”).
By accessing or using our Platform, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and all applicable laws of the Republic of Ghana.
2. Nature of Service
Workora Africa is a Pan-African career and recruitment platform that connects:

Jobseekers with verified employment opportunities.

Employers and recruiters with qualified candidates.

Career trainers and institutions with learners seeking career advancement.
Workora is not an employment agency or direct employer but acts as a digital intermediary that enables verified listings, matching, and post-placement follow-ups.
3. Eligibility

You must be 18 years or older to register or use our services.

Employers and recruitment partners must be legally registered entities or authorized representatives.

All users must provide accurate, verifiable, and updated information.
4. Account Management

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your login credentials.

You agree to be fully responsible for any activities that occur under your account.

Any unauthorized access or suspicious activity should be reported immediately to support@workora.africa.
5. Job Listings and Application Policy

Employers must ensure all job postings are genuine, lawful, and clearly described.

Jobseekers must apply only for roles that match their skills or experience.
-
Workora reserves the right to suspend, edit, or delete any listing found to be misleading, unethical, or in violation of Ghanaian or international law.
6. Verified Employer Framework
To build trust and protect users, Workora uses a Verified Employer System:

Employers may be required to upload business registration documents, company tax certificates, or contact details for verification.

Verified employers receive a green “Verified Employer” badge visible on job listings.

Employers who misrepresent information will lose verification privileges and may be banned permanently.
7. Service Fees & Payments
7.1 Employer Success Fee

Upon the successful placement of a candidate via Workora Africa, the employer agrees to pay a service fee equal to 9% of the candidate’s first month’s gross salary.

This payment is due within seven (7) calendar days after the candidate’s confirmed start date.

The fee is payable through Workora’s official billing channels (bank transfer, Momo, Paystack, or Stripe).
-
Late payments will attract a 2% monthly surcharge until fully cleared.

Failure to disclose a successful hire or deliberate non-payment constitutes contractual fraud and may result in legal action, account suspension, and permanent blacklisting.
7.2 Additional Employer Services
Employers may purchase:

Premium job listing visibility packages,
-
Featured branding on the Workora homepage, and
-
Sponsored career events or virtual interview rooms.
All such services are pre-paid and non-refundable once activated.
7.3 Candidate Services
Jobseekers may purchase optional upgrades:

Profile visibility boost
-
Resume rewrite services
-
Certification verification badges
These are voluntary and clearly priced within the app.
8. Placement Verification
Workora reserves the right to verify placement outcomes directly with either the employer or candidate.
This process may include:

Email or SMS confirmation,
-
Digital signature of placement acknowledgement, or
-
Employer payroll confirmation (for salary verification).
Any attempt to conceal a hire or provide false information shall be treated as breach of agreement.
9. Data Privacy & Protection
Workora Africa fully complies with the Ghana Data Protection Act 2012 (Act 843).

Personal data is used solely for legitimate recruitment and user experience purposes.

We never sell or disclose personally identifiable data to third parties without consent.

10. Intellectual Property
All platform content including text, software, trademarks, and media is protected under Ghanaian and international copyright laws.
Unauthorized reproduction or modification is strictly prohibited.
11. Limitation of Liability
Workora Africa acts as a digital connector and assumes no responsibility for:

Final hiring decisions,

Job losses, terminations, or salary disputes, or
-
Third-party content posted on the platform.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Workora’s liability is limited to the amount you paid for our services.
12. Account Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account for:

Breach of these Terms,
-
Non-payment of due fees,
-
Fraudulent behavior, or
-
Misuse of platform features.
Users may also close their accounts at any time.
13. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana.
Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Accra, Ghana, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
14. Amendments
Workora Africa may modify these Terms from time to time. Updates take effect upon publication on the website with a revised “Effective Date”.

EMPLOYER SERVICE AGREEMENT (ADDENDUM TO TERMS & CONDITIONS)
This Agreement (“Agreement”) supplements the Workora Africa Terms and Conditions and governs the relationship between Workora Africa Ltd. (“Workora”) and the Employer (“Client”) using the Platform for recruitment purposes.
1. Scope of Service
Workora Africa provides the Client with digital recruitment tools to post vacancies, receive applications, and hire candidates.
Upon a successful hire through the Platform, the Employer becomes liable to pay a Placement Fee as described below.
2. Placement Fee

The Client agrees to pay Workora a success fee of 9% of the candidate’s first month’s gross salary after successful placement.

Payment is due within seven (7) days of the candidate’s employment start date.

Invoices will be automatically generated and sent to the Client’s registered email.
-
Failure to remit this fee within the stipulated period shall attract a 2% monthly interest charge.
3. Confidentiality
Workora Africa and the Client agree to maintain the confidentiality of candidate information and recruitment data.
Both parties shall use this data solely for legitimate hiring and verification purposes.
4. Misrepresentation or Non-Disclosure
If the Client fails to disclose a successful hire that originated from Workora Africa, Workora reserves the right to:

Impose an administrative penalty equal to 150% of the unpaid service fee, and/or
-
Suspend or permanently disable the Client’s account.
This clause ensures fair usage and integrity of the platform.
5. Refunds & Disputes

If a hired candidate leaves or is terminated within 30 days, Workora may — at its discretion — offer one replacement posting free of charge.

No monetary refunds will be issued except in proven cases of system errors or duplicate payments.
6. Verification Clause
Workora retains the right to verify placements directly with candidates for audit and compliance purposes. Employers consent to such verification under this Agreement.
7. Governing Law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of Ghana, and any disputes shall be handled by the courts of Accra.
8. Acceptance
By posting a job or using Workora Africa for recruitment, the Employer acknowledges and accepts this Service Agreement in full.
